Congregational Meeting

Yes, now we finally have the details! 

There will be a Congregational Meeting on Sun, Nov 2 right after worship from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Illinois Mennonite Conference (IMC) Minister Eric Potter will preach in worship with us that day, and then at the meeting after church, Eric will present how he and our two other Conference Ministers (Cal Zehr and Bryan Miller) see the current state of IMC. After that we'll have time for congregational questions and discussion. The question of whether RPC should remain a part of IMC or transfer our affiliation to a different conference within Mennonite Church USA, has been awaiting our attention for various good reasons. The time spent hearing first-hand from one of IMC’s new leaders will help us greatly in gathering up-to-date information about IMC. We are not planning to make any decisions at this meeting. The Trustees and Pastors will take the input from this meeting and lay out a congregational process for considering our conference affiliation. Plan to attend this great opportunity to discern well as a community!
