This Sunday Pastor Laura will share a message on mental illness and the church. Churches are uniquely called to be sources of healing for people living with mental illness, but often do a poor job of extending care. Drawing on the story of the paralyzed man in Luke 5:17-26, as well as contemporary research on mental health, we will explore how Jesus calls us to walk alongside those living with mental health challenges. Trigger warning: there will be a brief reference to suicide, depression and other mental illness statistics. Join us in person or on Zoom. Childcare for Pre-K and Kindergarteners will be provided in the latter part of the service. Guests are warmly welcomed!
