Please come to this year's Juneteenth Service. We rejoice that there have been some important victories on the "Freedom Road" as we recognize the current need to continue the "Struggle for Justice." We will welcome a guest preacher, Michael Russell from Crossroads Antiracism Organizing and Training, and of course, music and dance. The sermon title is "Peace and the Sword" with meditations on Matthew 10:26-39. This is an important time to remember and recognize that our congregation has named "Working Against Racism" as one of our seven creedal statements. To learn more about Michael and his work with Crosswords, see this brief introduction.
Join us in person or on Zoom. Childcare for pre-K and kindergarteners will be provided in the latter part of the service. Guests are warmly welcomed!
