All are invited to join others in a Service of Lament for Gaza on Sat, Oct 18 from 7-8:30 pm at the Reba Place Church Meetinghouse (620 Madison St, Evanston).
This service is a space to reflect, slow down, grieve and lament the ongoing genocide in Gaza.. The evening will feature photos of the Palestinian children who have been killed, art made by Palestinian children, paintings of local artists, and songs of lament. Several speakers will share briefly, including Souher Fakhoury-Gonzales, a cofounder of the "Watermelon Sisters," an organization that provides food, water, and art therapy in Gaza. Reah Clymer, a facilitator of Mennonite Action's "Courage School," will also be present and will lead some songs. We invite you to join us as we bring our broken hearts before God.
