Notebooks and pencils are treasures for families around the world who have been forced to flee their homes or struggle to afford basic school supplies. Without these items, many kids in places like Ethiopia, Ukraine and South Sudan can’t get the education they desperately need. Enter, the School Kit Challenge: 24,000 school kits to help 24,000 kids during the month of August. Mennonite Central Committee will be collecting and sending kits around the world and Reba Place Church will be contributing to the project. School supplies will be collected at the Meetinghouse for the next month. Pick up a list at the Meetinghouse display to bring to the store with you or find the list online here. Please note that the list includes very specific supplies, outlined by MCC, so be sure to grab the list before you shop! Thanks for pitching in with this great cause!
