Juneteenth Books Available for Loan

The Reba Place Church Racial Justice Team is providing several books for folks of all ages to learn more about the celebration of Juneteenth. If you joined us for worship on June 19th, you'll remember Lauralea's wonderful reading of Juneteenth for Mazie, which was a beautifully illustrated children's book. You can find this, and other books, available for loan at the Meetinghouse. Our community lending library is located on the bookshelf on the west wall of the church, near the resource table by the kitchen. Borrow a book and then bring it back again for someone else to borrow! (PS- We have a WHOLE LIBRARY of books to borrow in the Ministry Center!) Here's a list of the Juneteenth books to check out...

  • How to Fight Racism by Jemar Tisby

  • Jesus and the Disinherited by Howard Thurman

  • For Youth: How to Fight Racism for Young Readers by Jemar Tisby

  • For Children: Juneteenth for Mazie

Thanks to the Racial Justice Team for putting together this thoughtful collection of resources for our community to grow in awareness together. Images from Amazon.com
