GROW CLASSES (SUNDAY SCHOOL)
Our children’s ministries meet on Sundays.
Infant care is available in the nursery throughout the service and Grow Class time, 10 am to 12 noon.
Preschoolers meet during the sermon time and throughout the Grow Class time, roughly 10:30 to 12 noon.
Elementary school-aged children are divided into two groups: kindergarten-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade. These classes meet during the Grow Class time following the service, 11:15 to 12 noon.
Middle school-aged children and high school-aged children meet together during the Grow Class time following the service, 11:15 to 12 noon.
All of the children’s groups meet in the Meetinghouse building at 620 Madison. Some adult Grow Classes take place in different buildings in close proximity to the Meetinghouse. The multiple locations can make the Grow Class time a little confusing for parents. If this is the case, feel free to take part in the Adult Grow Class that takes place in the Meetinghouse (there’s always one or two) to be nearer to your children’s classrooms.
Following the Sunday worship service, adults meet in Grow Classes from 11:15 to 12 noon. Grow Classes take place in the Meetinghouse and in other buildings nearby. Some Grow Classes have an ongoing topic of discussion and function more like a book group or small group.
Other classes are part of a 5-7 week session and include a variety of rotating topics. Recent Grow Classes include: “Lectio Divina and Forms of Prayer & Practice”; “Understanding Islam”; “End-of-Life Planning”; and “Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People: The Problem of Evil.” All Grow Classes are open to visitors at any point in the session.
Reba Place Church also offers occasional seminars and classes on topics such as family budgeting, maintaining healthy and intimate marriages, and reasons and ways to be politically involved.
Classes are taught by the pastor, other church members, or invited speakers for special topics.
We also have periodic series of new member classes for those interested in exploring membership.
