Food distribution at Place of Manna (Photo by Rosalind Yang)

Place of Manna is a twice-weekly distribution of free food in the Reba Place neighborhood.

Local grocery stores and bakeries donate just-expired produce, bread and other groceries, which are distributed by volunteers on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10am. The distribution place is a garage in the alley between Reba Place and Monroe Avenue, just east of Sherman. Check out the map - it's one of the blue dots (click to see which.)

Place of Manna was started by a Reba Place member in the 1990s to help provide food for the large numbers of Cambodian refugees in the area. Today all are welcome to help out or to "shop" for food.
