The Church Council meets in regular sessions.
Upcoming meeting times are posted on the church calendar. Approved minutes of past meetings are available at the church office.
The Church Council manages internal church matters as well as business and legal matters. It's made up of a small group of elected members and the pastor. Council members are called by God and the congregation and are chosen and confirmed through a congregational discernment process. Qualifications include:
- full church membership
- spiritual maturity which bears observable fruit
- discernment, wisdom, good judgment, and leadership vision
- availability and capacity to carry concern for the congregation as a whole
- desire and willingness to serve in the role of Council member
The term of office of elected members is three years, and elected members may serve for no more than two consecutive terms and become eligible for reelection after an absence of one year.
