Kingdom Kids
Our children's ministry, Kingdom Kids, meets on Sundays during the sermon time. We divide the kids into three groups: Ages 3-6, ages 7-10 and ages 11-13.
Our long-held tradition is to "sing the kids out" with a song of blessing. As we sing, the kids gather behind the Kingdom Kids banner and march to the back of the sanctuary.
The different age groups meet in one of the back rooms or across the street at Reba Early Learning Center to make art, sing songs and learn about the love of God. We use the Gather Round curriculum from the Brethren Press & Mennonite Publishing Network. If the weather is good sometimes the kids walk to a nearby park for some outdoor games (accompanied by adults of course.)
The multiple locations can make the kids' time a little confusing for parents. Just have your children join the others behind the Kingdom Kids banner as they get ready to go. Feel free to go with them, make certain they are all right, and then come back for the sermon.
